Guidelines for Student Authors (JSR)

  • Publication in the Journal is allowed only for CESSRST students (and faculty) or one of CESSRST’s 3 sister Centers within NOAA’s Cooperative Science Centers initiative
  • The manuscripts' first authors should be students
  • Manuscripts published in the Journal must be the result of research supported by CESSRST or one of its 3 sister Cooperative Science Centers
  • Submitted manuscripts must focus on Environmental Science, Engineering, and Social Studies
  • Manuscripts must be formatted to include Title, Author(s), Abstract, Introduction, Methods/Data, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgements, and References in that order
  • Manuscripts' length must be limited to 5 single-spaced pages using Times New Roman font, 12-point size
  • The manuscripts submitted must conform to the downloadable template on the CESSRST JSR website
  • To submit the manuscript, an email must be sent to jsr@cessrst.org with the manuscript attached as a pdf file
