NOAA CESSRST Awards 2021

New York, NY, April 29, 2021 – The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Cooperative Science Center for Earth System Sciences and Remote Sensing Technologies (NOAA-CESSRST) is pleased to announce the 2021 Student Award Winners. 

Three doctoral students have been awarded the prestigious Vice Admiral Conrad C. Lautenbacher Public Service Graduate Scholarship at the 20th Annual CREST Day on April 29, 2021. The recipients include: 

1. Julio Ceniceros (Ph.D./UTEP)

2. Wendy Prudencio (Ph.D./UMBC)

3. Candace Agonafir (Ph.D./CCNY)

Three undergraduate students received the 'Acamedic Excellence Award' at the 20th Annual CREST Day on April 29, 2021. The recipients include:

1. Caroline Schwab (B.E./CUNY) 

2. Jefferson Almonte (B.S./CCNY) 

3. Isaiah Dorado (B.S/SDSU) 

Two graduate students received the 'Professional Development Award' at the 20th Annual CREST Day on April 29, 2021. The recipients include:

1. Ishrat Jabin (M.S./CCNY) 

2. Gabriel Rios (M.S./CCNY) 

Two graduate students received the 'Community Outreach Award' at the 20th Annual CREST Day on April 29, 2021. The recipients include:

1. Andrea Fenner (Ph.D./SDSU) 

2. Veeshan Narinesingh (Ph.D./CCNY)
