Two NOAA-EPP CESSRST Scholars Receive Best Research Presentation Awards at NOAA NESDIS Annual CoRP Science Symposium

Posted on September 15, 2019 Two NOAA-EPP supported doctoral candidates received honors at the NOAA NESDIS Cooperative Research Program (CoRP) Science Symposium, held August 27 – 29 at the University of Maryland at College Park. Equisha Glenn, a doctoral candidate in civil engineering at City College of New York, won second prize for Best Oral Presentation and Suhey Ortiz Rosa, who is working toward a PhD in marine sciences at University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez, won third prize for Best Poster.

Suhey Ortiz Rosa, seen with her NOAA mentor, took 3rd place in the Best Poster competition at the NOAA NESDIS CoRP Science Symposium.

18th NOAA-CESSRST Day: Inspiring the Next STEM Generation

Each year the open house event informs students from the New York metropolitan area about NOAA- related, educational, research, and professional opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).
