Two NOAA-EPP CESSRST Scholars Receive Best Research Presentation Awards at NOAA NESDIS Annual CoRP Science Symposium
Posted on September 15, 2019 Two NOAA-EPP supported doctoral candidates received honors at the NOAA NESDIS Cooperative Research Program (CoRP) Science Symposium, held August 27 – 29 at the University of Maryland at College Park. Equisha Glenn, a doctoral candidate in civil engineering at City College of New York, won second prize for Best Oral Presentation and Suhey Ortiz Rosa, who is working toward a PhD in marine sciences at University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez, won third prize for Best Poster.

18th NOAA-CESSRST Day: Inspiring the Next STEM Generation
Posted on May 29, 2019 New York, NY, April 30th, 2019– More than 300 middle school, high school and college students from across New York City participated in the 18th Annual NOAA CREST Day at The City College of New York / CUNY campus. Each year the open house event informs students from the New York metropolitan area about NOAA- related, educational, research, and professional opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).

Posted on April 3, 2019 PRESQUE ISLE— A delegation from the City College of New York will visit Aroostook County on April 3 and 4 as part of the weather research efforts that have been undertaken in northern Maine over the past decade. CUNY SAFE (Snow Analysis and Field Experiment ) is currently being carried out every winter seasons on the premises of Caribou Municipal Airport and National Weather Service office at Caribou, ME.
