About the Speaker:
Mitch Goldberg is the Chief Program Scientist for Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and former Chief of the NESDIS Satellite Meteorology and Climatology Division. Dr. Goldberg earned his B.S. degree from Rutgers University, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Maryland. Dr. Goldberg joined NOAA in 1990 and has had held a number of positions of increasing responsibility. His scientific expertise is in developing algorithms to derive atmospheric soundings of temperature and water vapor from microwave and infrared sounders.
