Laura Bayona-Román’s Article Published in the National Tsunami Mitigation Program Tsulnfo Alert

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Educational Partnership Program with Minority Serving Institutions (EPP/MSI) Center for Earth System Sciences and Remote Sensing Technologies (CESSRST) Graduate Fellow, Laura Bayona-Román’s article ‘Mechanisms for Enhancing Tsunami Disaster Resilience’ was recently published in the National Tsunami Hazard Mitigation Program Tsulnfo Alert. Commenting on the achievement, Laura said, “It feels great to accomplish something like this. I hope the article contributes positively to both, the fields of natural science and social science.” Currently, Laura is pursuing her Master’s (M.Phil) degree in Applied Sociology at UMBC.
