Research Title: Sequestration and storage of blue carbon in mangroves in La Parguera, Puerto Rico.

Research Synopsis: How to account for carbon stored and sequestered in the coastal blue carbon habitat, mangrove, and what factors (human or natural) drive or influence sequestration and storage rates. This current research builds on continued NOAA coastal blue carbon efforts to understand how to account for carbon stored in coastal wetlands for conservation and protection services.
