Career Goal: I plan on pursuing a Graduate Degree at The University of Texas at El Paso, a department with particular strengths in data-based analysis of social-environmental dynamics.

Degree: M.S Sociology

Research Title: Urban heat: identify extreme heat coping and citizen science participation

Research Synopsis: Researching the El Paso area using qualitative data by identifying vulnerable populations that are exposed to high heat temperatures to examine heat coping. I will also interview participants from the Urban heat island mapping to analyze their perspective on extreme heat.
