Career Goal: Once I graduate from my current degree program (bachelor in Geology), I plan to continue graduate studies in the area of Meteorology.

Research Title: Urban Landcove and Exposure to Coastal Hazards in Puerto Rico

Research Synopsis: Development of GIS layer of structures/built areas in the inland area from one kilometer of coastline. One will use recent photos (2019) and develop layers of information for the 1950s and 1930s. Thus, we will create an analysis of change over time and a superimposition analysis of current structures with GIS layers of different coastal hazards to address the issue of exposure to coastal hazards in Puerto Rico.
