Research Title: A Comparison of Two Approaches for Estimating Economic and Demographic Exposure to Coastal Risks

Research Synopsis: This project examines economic and demographic indicators of exposure to coastal risks, like storm surge/sea level rise, using GIS.

Approach 1: Use county boundaries to analyze impacts to population, employment, etc.

Approach 2: Use modified county boundaries to analyze impacts, with county boundaries modified using land cover data to remove uninhabited areas: water, wetland, open space.
