Research Title: Development of Land Cover Maps Before and After Hurricane Maria

Research Synopsis: On the 20th of September of 2017 hurricane Maria made landfall over Puerto Rico. Its passage left behind a wake of destruction. Serious damage was done to the island's vegetative cover. Any change in land cover might affect the island's climatic patterns. We seek to develop land cover classification maps before and after the hurricane to determine and quantify any changes in the land cover.
